HIFU,
Focused ultrasound, high-intensity focused ultrasound is a technology approved
by the American Food and Drug Administration (FDA), which offers a valuable
alternative to surgical methods in the treatment of non-surgical facelift and
decollete lines.
They may be
known by different names in the market according to the different device names
of the companies, but the same technology is used in all of them.
The HIFU
system applys a low amount of focused ultrasound energy to the subcutaneous
layer. The heat generated by this energy stimulates the production of collagen.
The positive effect of the treatment is seen immediately after the first
application. After 1 month, the result becomes visible and after an average of
6 months, the effect becomes more pronounced. Its effect lasts for 1 – 1.5
years.
Depending on
the application area, the processing time varies between 30-60 minutes.
It is a
single session application; one session application will be sufficient for
people with mild to moderate skin laxity.
HIFU
application has no negative side effects. Depending on the application,
temporary redness and an edema that causes prominence in the cheekbones can be
seen. It is a facelift procedure performed without incisions and scars.
